The 2026 Seoul Urban Agriculture Expo will be held for 2 days, from October 16 to 17, around the Dongbu Leisure Center at Seoul Forest. The event, now in its 15th edition, runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both days, and there is no age restriction for visitors.

This year's slogan is 'Companion Plants, a Green Pause for My Heart!' It reflects the aim of having citizens regain a sense of ease by planting and tending plants themselves, rather than only looking at green spaces in the city. The venue is divided into 5 zones: a theme zone, a promotion zone, a hands-on zone, an urban agriculture lifestyle model exhibition and a garden crop exhibition.

The exhibition consists of 40 booths across the theme zone and promotion zone combined, 4 urban agriculture lifestyle model exhibits and 10 garden crop exhibits. The urban agriculture lifestyle model exhibition shows growing methods that can be applied in residential settings, while the garden crop exhibition is set up so visitors can see for themselves crops that can be grown in the city.

Hands-on programs include threshing and egg-bundle making, which cover the steps after harvest, as well as an insect experience for observing insects, makgeolli (Korean rice wine) brewing where visitors make the drink themselves, and grasshopper catching, which is well suited to young visitors. The programs are designed so visitors can experience a stage of farming by touching and moving with their own hands.

The opening event will take place on October 16 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on the main stage at Seoul Forest. A pre-ceremony performance will be followed in turn by the official ceremony and an opening performance. For details, call 02-6358-7774.
